Weekend in Madison

How can you top a weekend that involves a safe trip, Famous Daves, Red Robin,

an indoor pool for the kids, and our best selling craft show ever??

I am not sure you can!

We had a very busy, but very fun time in Madison...in spite of the 9 below temps in Wisconsin. We got there early on Saturday to set up before it got too crowded.

The girls were able to run around a bit and
use our pallet with wheels as a sled to spin
each other around on. We actually sold a bunch of goodies while
we were still setting up..those ladies kind of "sneaked in for a peek"
before the show on Monday...but I wasglad they did.
They bought ALL of my grapevine wreaths
and half of the rabbits I made.

We ate a yummy dinner at Famous Daves and relaxed
in our suite (which was connected to the Alliant Energy Center).
Early on Sunday I took Anna & Emily
over to our booth...just in case we had any early customers.

We had some time to kill before church, so Emily started taking pictures:

Anna was very proud of her name badge.

She had fun spinning.

We brought some card games to play too.

Here is the booth, stocked and ready for customers:

We attended a very small church in Madison.
They have 15 members and were so glad to have us there.
They all remembered us from last year and they were thrilled to see the girls there too. The girls had never been to such a small congregation before, so they liked it too.

We ate at a super yummy Chinese Buffet after services. It was
called ~~YES BUFFET~~ and yes, we will be back.

Sunday afternoon was super busy with customers.
I actually had some holes and spaces in our boxes and
had to move stuff around quite a bit to make it look more full. At this point
I was beginning to think that we should have brought more goodies.

Monday morning I got to the show at 7 am...and even though the show did not
open until 8 am, there was a line of about 100 people waiting to get in!!!

It wasn't too long before we started getting busy!!

They guy selling birch branches in the next booth did not show up,
and I thought they probably were sick, so I started taking $$ for him...well
an hour later he came in...he thought the show started at 9 am!! Funny!!For helping him out, he gave us a 4 big bundles of branches as a thank you.

Here they are next to Amelia:
We were very picked over by the end of the day,
and came home with mostly empty boxes.
We were really glad to be home in our
warm house, with our warm kitty and
sleeping in our own warm beds...3 months until the next show!!
At least it should be warmer weather by then.
