~APRIL 2011~

If you have wondered why I have not posted...

We have had a busy month!

All of the girls and I attended a Baby Shower for our neighbor Katie.

Our little nephew Collin had his tonsils out. Day 3 post op, we delivered balloons, drinks, his favorite yogurt sticks and some new big bouncy balls to play with (since it was too cold outside to play...big bouncy balls are fun in the house!) Little sister Laurynn started walking too!

We had Dentist appointments. We do all of the girls at the same time...to save time :)

Elaine's friend Tessa from homeschool camp visited for a long weekend. That was so much fun! We shopped until we dropped!

We held our second ~Sweet Hour of Prayer~ meeting...with a wonderful turnout!

Emily started Soccer (her third year) and Elaine started Volleyball (her 2nd year)...we have weekly practices and Saturday morning games. They are held locally here in Chillicothe, at the park and at Pearce Community Center. It is really fun...the little kids get to play at the park and the track at Pearce. It is a good way for all of us to meet new friends!

Regular Grandma had a bunch of tests at the hospital (that I tagged along with to read over the tech's shoulder...haha) and needed her Gallbladder out. We visited with her after the surgery in the recovery room, then delivered food a couple of days later. We also visited the Baby Chicks...they are living it up inside Grandma's chicken house now.

The family attended the local Homeschool Convention. The little girls spent the day with Granny and Paw Paw, and then the next day, attended a SPA DAY with Aunt Stephanie. Elaine was old enough to attend the convention this year, went to some classes, then helped the Randlemans with helping organize the classes at the convention. Elaine was able to be a 'guest speaker' and helped introduce the main speakers for a couple of the classes. It was her first MAJOR public speaking roles, and she wasn't nervous at all! Guess she gets that from Wes...he introduced speakers too...I would get too nervous for something like that!

Our Spring Meeting was held at church. Great lessons from Ron Griffin. You can hear them at the link below:

Anna has been attending the weekly Garden Club at the Chillicothe Library. She loves it! They have planted all kinds of seeds. Elaine has been attending Writers Group and has really enjoyed being a part of the group. They do all kinds of projects and writing prompts.

Anna attended a FUN RUN at Wildlife Prairie Park and received a running tshirt and a ribbon. She did great and it was fun for the little girls to watch. Carrie and Scott's nephew won first place!

I finally made an appoinment and got started back on my meds (and a few natural meds) for my pain and joint issues. Being so busy was really taking its toll on me. I have been on my meds for one week, and it has made a HUGE difference!!! Hoping and praying that will continue :)

We took a two week Spring Break to catch up on rest, chores, delivery of meals to those in need from church. We dug up hostas and lillies, transplanted them at different friends' houses, and visited with those who have not been able to make it out. We make it a point to try and serve others each week.

We also visited Glen Oak's Botanical Garden for Spring Pics again.

Ellie had her 6 month appointment.

She weighs 18 pounds and is about the 60% tile for growth!
