Our next big step....refinishing the floor.
We had to strip off the layer of carpet glue....then rented a floor sander. The girls could not help much with this part, but Wes and I finished it in a couple of days.
It sure looks better than that old pink carpet!!!!
The walls are all finished, and the trim board is up, Elaine helped Dad hang up the boards.
This is after the final sanding, before cleaning...the girls all
had buckets and rags to help wipe the dust off the floor...160 years of dust and dirt...gone!!!
First coat of stain down...the girls all helped stain the floor too!
